The Multipurpose Aiming Reflex Sight (MARS) combines two essential pieces of kit into one functional unit. International Technologies Lasers (ITL), the MARS offers maximum operational flexibility to operators by packaging a red dot sight and IR laser pointer together. The red dot features variable intensity for use in various operational environments and lighting conditions. The IR laser is a very simple and intuitive unit that activates with the press of a remote pressure switch. The switch can be mounted easily to the handguards with an included rubber band that features a pocket for securing the switch. A built-in sensor detects amounts of available ambient light and automatically adjusts the brightness of the IR dot. The MARS is built to withstand the abuse of combat and is widely used by the Israeli Defense Force, many other Allied nations and certain units within the US Military.

The MARS is a nice package. The controls are very intuitive and do away with many of the complicated features and settings found in other units. Its slim profile keeps it within the footprint of other red dot sights on the market, but does make it a bit taller. Because of the added height, you cannot co-witness your iron sights through the window. The MARS features two built-in throw levers that lock the device onto any MIL-STD M1913 Picatinny Rail. The IR laser is robust and offset so it will clear the front sight post of your weapon. A really nice feature is that the laser’s point of impact is co-aligned with the red dot, meaning that zeroing one will zero the other. We feel the MARS offers a good option to Law Enforcement departments and agencies that do not use carbines or rifles with quad rail handguards. The MARS provides the tools you need in one compact unit that mounts to the upper receiver of your weapon. Even If you are running a railed weapon, the MARS can benefit the overall balance of the rifle by keeping the weight over the receiver instead of cantilevered out at the fore end.

IR Lasers are restricted to Law Enforcement and Government sales only and cannot be sold to civilians. Purchase of IR Laser equipment can only occur at the Department, Agency, or Unit level. IR Lasers cannot be sold to individual Law Enforcement, Military, Government, or Contractor personnel. No exceptions. If you are a government employee and would like to purchase an IR laser, you must have your agency place the order for you. We do not make the rules, but we do follow them.
