The D740 line is hard to beat and is one of the best options for civilians looking for a precision night vision riflescope. The D740 Gen 3 PINNACLE features the latest in US Gen 3 image intensification technology in a Mil-Spec, waterproof housing. The system features the only reticule in the world that is user-selectable between amber or red Mil-dot. We have spent long hours behind this scope during testing and have found the amber reticule to cause less eye fatigue. The color selection is located on the power switch and reticule intensity is standard on these units. We have demoed the D740 to numerous LE and Federal agencies who are using them for clandestine operations in our high desert regions. They are also in use by US forces across the globe.

The D740 PINNACLE is an excellent, lightweight option for those needing a solid night vision platform with excellent maneuverability and handling in the field. The D760 PINNACLE Night Vision Riflescope uses the ITT Gen 3 PINNACLE image intensifier tube. These tubes are the latest development in state-of-the-art tactical night vision technology. These tubes are thin-filmed and auto-gated which protects the user from sudden exposure to bright lights while protecting the tube from damage. The formidable D740 with the excellent ITT Gen 3 PINNACLE tube makes it a perfect tool for the military or law enforcement professional as well as the civilian varmint hunter. In fact, we sell a lot of these scopes to ranchers and hog hunters in the great state of Texas! Please note: Standard PINNACLE tubes are only designed to withstand recoil of 5.56 x 45mm NATO and smaller. Tubes subjected to higher recoil will have their warranty voided by ITT. We only use ITT Gen3 PINNACLE Recoil-Rated Tubes in these scopes.

In some of the “through the tube” NV pics, you will see a slight shaded area running vertically. ANY rear-projected reticule riflescope has a “darker” reticule-plate stripe. This is due to the coating on the etched plate to reflect red/amber light back towards the eyepiece. The 4x system will have a more pronounced reticule-plate due to the lower magnification and a slightly higher overall brightness. This phenomenon is virtually undetectable with the naked eye (in opposition to a much more sensitive camera) and in no way impairs the performance.
