The Aimpoint Concealed Engagement Unit is a device that allows operators the ability to observe or engage a target from a concealed or covered position. The module clips into the Aimpoint Twist Mount behind an Aimpoint sight and provides the shooter with an off bore-line sight picture that completely mimics what would be seen from directly behind the sight, allowing operators the ability to hold their weapon around a corner or over a barricade and provide effective fire without exposing themselves. The CEU easily rotates from side to side (260 degrees), so an operator can safely look around either right or left-hand corners. Utilizing the Aimpoint Twist Mount, the CEU can be instantly removed to rapidly return to direct engagement or to pass the unit to other team members.

The Aimpoint CEU is a patented system developed by DSTO in Australia, under the name Off-Axis Viewing Device (OAVD). Aimpoint has world-wide exclusive rights for production and sales outside Australia.

The CEU is a great tool to have in any tactical team’s armory. Devices that allow a soldier to fire from behind cover have been in the works for almost a century, but this is the first one that delivers! The CEU is fast and requires almost no learning curve since the sight picture is exactly what would be seen if you were behind the sight in direct engagement. There is no need to re-zero the primary optic and there is no shift in Point Of Impact. What’s more; the CEU actually provides a “true image” rather than crude mirror image. After spending some time running this device, the only thing we found awkward was the myriad positions we placed ourselves in. Regardless of how hard we pushed, the CEU continued to provide a clear sight picture of our targets and delivered rounds on target. Recoil is easy enough to control when using a standard 5.56mm round. We highly recommend the CEU to all our Military and Law Enforcement customers. It is an effective tool that will help to increase your safety in a gunfight.
